My final 10 thoughts for my fall semester freshmen class on technical analysis; GMI remains Green

It took 14 weeks for my freshmen students, most of whom never bought a stock, to be able to understand and appreciate these final thoughts that I sent them after they had completed my course. I thought others might appreciate seeing them. And now I turn to ponder whether I want to offer a similar not-for credit course for non university students and adults?  Proceeds will go to the university.

The GMI remains at 6 (of 6) but the GMI2 is only 4 (of 8) and is more sensitive to short term weakness. So the longer term trend remains up but the shorter term is showing some deterioration.

  1. I learned about your website from one of your former students who is also a good friend of mine. I’ve been learning to trade options for about a year now. I’ve been looking at your posts from time to time and I’ve honestly learned a lot, especially from this post. Your advice is really solid and I’m going to apply some of it to my trading. Anyways just wanted to say hi and thanks for the content that you put out. If you do end up having a similar not-for credit course for non university students I would 100% be interested, it sounds like a pretty good idea.

  2. Not for Credit course via Zoom or other digital meeting platform would be great. I’ve often thought and WISHED you would do that.
I’M IN! if you decide to do it.
First heard about your website and blog at an IBD meet-up in South Florida several years ago, been following you ever since.
Thank you for sharing your common sense approach.

  3. I would also be interested in a course. I’ve been following you for years and dabbled here and there. But without committing a block of time to learning and understanding all of the key principles, I’m afraid it hasn’t worked. A course would allow me to give this the focus it deserves once and for all, and then benefit from it for years. Please do let me know if you plan to offer a course. Regardless, thank you for the tips over the years. It’s kept me engaged in the market, whether trading or just observing and reflecting on mistakes.

  4. Great blog here and I also found it through your former students. I would be interested to see what that non-credit course would look like.
